Works!

I actually took it out for the first time yesterday, everything did what it was supposed to do, the camera image was very good, and the operation was simple to understand the status of the camera, solid green on, flashing recording. I had seen some reviews prior to buying it, the one's that cast doubt on the ability or quality of the camera or video are frankly full of shit. I had no problem focusing the camera and reticle. The only thing you have to do is remember to focus your parallax, which you should be doing anyway. Another review I saw was concerned with "knocking" the reticle adjustment out accidently. I can't see how you can do that as the adjustment is quite stiff. I am very happy with it and would recommend the product.

Yes, we do think the review of RimfireSS is very weird, if you put this positive feedback on his video, he will probably hide it soon (only can be seen by the one who made the comments, and can not be seen by others), several positive comments directly from Scopemate users have been treated like that way. Not what I expected

The focus wheel feels like is going to brake when I try to adjust it.
2. Recording volume if set to low it will hardly record your voice, but it records everything else.
3. Recording volume if set to medium voice recording is higher but it sounds muffled. (Maybe my iPad is causing issues, but the iPad records ok with my wireless cam)
4. I believe this issues can be solved with a better software app.

Pros:
1. Decent video quality.
2. Digital zoom a plus.
3. Records video well in low light, especially on a cloudy and rainy day.
4. External battery and rechargeable.

Hope there is a software upgrade soon.
Will try to record sound with volume on high setting.

The focus wheel has been fixed on the rod permanently
New production version 2.0 come out with the following improvments:
1. With a hole on the left side case to record outside voice while remain waterproof IP64.
2. Two tightening screws changed to the left side to allow free movement of the bolt.
3. Front metal appearance looks better and strong

The new firmware V1.4.9 issued on 23th Sept. 2024 is mile stone and revolutional improvement for Scopemate S18. Powerful penetriation capability is much good for long range shooting, vivid color and sharper clarity. Please upgrade it.

Frequently asked question and Answer

If the reticle image is too small, what settings can be done to solve this issue?

Turn on WiFi and connect the S18 to the ScopemateCam App, set the "Lens Angle" menu from default option "
Wide" to "Medium", if still not big enough, set to "Narrow" to make the Reticel image big enough.

How Do I Know the Battery is in Charging and When the Battery Fully charged?

In charge the battery, please do not turn on the device, when the battery is in Charge, the Red Light will turn on, once it is fully charged, the red light will automatically turn off.

The device can not turn on, what should I do?

1. Sometimes, the device is triggered a mechanism of protection, please take out the battery for about one minute, then insert the battery again to turn on.

2. The battery is out of power, you can connect the USB-C cable with a 5V adaptor to charge the battery.

The Scope size is not in the standard Size 39mm, 42mm, 45mm and 48mm, what should I do to fit the device?

Please use the high elastic Rubber band to enlarge the scope to stand size, each can enlarge the diameer 1mm, please pay attention to the big friction force of the rubber material, can use the plastic to cover the rubber band before install the S18

When the Device is recording, can I turn on the WiFi?

When the device is recording, the green light is flashing, you can not turn on the Wifi, press the left key to stop the recording before turn on the WiFi.
